TLC PLAN REUNION TOUR & NEW ALBUM

 

 

Oh yes…One of the best girl groups of all time, TLC is set to take another stab at the music industry and are prepping a United States tour as well as the release of a brand new album. The surviving members of the group, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas will be reuniting on the 10-year anniversary of their departed member Left Eye’s death.

TLC’s tour of the US will kick off later this year and so far five major cities have been booked with more in the works. The duo [T-Boz and Chilli] were inspired by Dr. Dre and Snoop’s Coachella performance alongside Tupac’s hologram and thus plan to incorporate the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes into the performance.

The two plans on projecting Left Eye’s image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances…which I think is dope, might I add…

Left Eye was killed 10 years ago on the 25^th of April in a fatal car accident in Honduras.

“The word anniversary means a celebration. For us her death will never be a celebration, it’s still something that hurts,” said T-Boz…

“Lisa is our sister. You never get over losing a family member. We love her and we miss her and that isn’t ever going to change.”-added Chilli

TLC will be commemorating their 20^th anniversary as a group and the surviving members are working with VH1 on a made-for-TV movie series inspired by their story as well as a new album.

“We’ll have new music right after the movie drops,” Chilli told Essence. “We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board.”-she concluded

I think this tour will definitely be a good look for these ladies and with that said…R.I.P. to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez…May Her Soul rest In Peace…
