SHUGASMAKX GOES LIVE

Sandton based club The Bluesroom unquestionably came alive last night as South African rapper Shugasmakx leisured in entertaining and introducing his fans to his outstanding live band. A star-studded event it could have not been. Friends in the music industry took time off their busy schedule to come praise the "Coming Home" rapper on this great initiative. Among them were rappers HHP and Selwyn and Craz-e presenter Morena (MO) just to name a few. The Skwatta Kamp founder wonderfully rendered a super performance, performing tracks from his solo album, Number 1 , which is now out in stores. We certainly loved the meaningful contribution that the live band gives. Shuga knows very well that in South Africa, hip hip artists performing with a band is a risk. But with such reception from last night's event, Shugasmakx managed to turn a risk into a business advantage.
Jabba made it big with a live band. JR made it big with a live band and Shugasmakx absolutely made it huge with his live band. Do you think this is a new South African trend?? Well if you do it from now on, you got to do it Shugasmakx's way or better. Shout out to HHP for lending us this pic of Shugasmakx performing last night.
