TOYA DELAZY DOMINATES THE CHARTS

Highly acclaimed new SA artist Toya Delazy last week had all three singles from her debut album Due Drop occupying a place in the SA Mediaguide Top 100 Airplay Chart.

“Love Is In The Air” is highest placed at #20 (peaked at #4), debut single “Pump It On” spends its 32^nd week on the chart at #37(peaked at #21), and her new single ‘Are You Gonna Stay?’ is a new entry at #87 in week 23.

 ‘Due Drop’ has been hailed by South African media and critics. In fact, I have never come across a review where the critic was negative of the album:

 Rolling Stones said: “Sassy and classy enough to compete globally…”

The Times said: “Toya Delazy’s sound – a masterful blend of pop, soul, jazz and electro – is unique and refreshing.”

Heat Magazine said: “Toya is a burst of fresh air. She reminds of Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill and Lady Gaga. We haven’t heard such an original album for a while. We love it!”

People Magazine said: “The album is filled with insane rhymes, immaculately produced beats and really is the most current sounding album to have come out of South Africa in a long time – we can’t even fault it! We’re proud of you Toya!”

Yuuup, that's it, Toya Delazy is our new ambassador to the whole world. I cannot argue, she is definitely on point. Big ups to her talent and to her hustle.
